“Not everyone will become a hero, but they will respect a world that can be saved.”

I don’t know why it’s so hard to write profiles and “about” pages. I can lodge my deepest, darkest secrets in the heart of a character and make him spill his guts all over the page, but the idea of telling you what color my eyes are or what I majored in makes me want to run and hide (literarily speaking).

Here goes. Blue. And, Hotel Administration.

But I’m a writer now. I’m in the process of revising two feature-length screenplays. They’re good. I also write short stories and poetry, which tend to appear on this blog. And I have another career, so the cats can eat and have a roof over their heads.

But this blog is just about the writing.

Is literarily even a word?

By the way, I live in Providence (the “Renaissance City”), Rhode Island, USA. It’s the smallest state in the Union, has the longest official name (State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations) and the highest or second-highest unemployment rate. It’s a wonderful place to live, and I’m willing to relocate.

Getting comments makes me smile a lot, and I try to respond to every one that doesn’t mention the Baltimore Ravens and the Red Dawn reboot. If you have a message or question you prefer to send privately, you can email me here.

  1. Well, you might find it difficult to write a profile, but you certainly nailed it. I’m looking forward to diving in (I may splash a little, throw in a cannonball here or there – I am a dimwit, after all.)

Nice to meet your virtual acquaintance.

    • Wow, my first award! Thank you so much Patty, I’m honored you consider The Boy Hero interesting and award-worthy 🙂 Now I must think about nominees (I have a few in mind already), and of course the answers to your 5 questions…I’ll post everything soon!
